Patches is one of a kind! My husband actually picked him out of the litter as a keeper. Patches definitely has a personality!! In fact , his nick name is Mr. Attitude. Where-ever there is trouble, Patches can be found :)) He is also quite the little gardener. I had just planted my spring flowers, went inside to answer the phone and when I came out again, ALL my flowers had been dug up! I searched for the culprit, and there was little Patches looking at me with dirt half way up his front legs, belting out yodels, so proud of his handiwork :)))

Patches went to his first show on June 21st and 22nd, 2008. "Mr. Attitude" showed like a trooper, going Group 4th and Best Puppy In Show at the tender age of 6 months and 4 days old!!

At Patches' 2nd set of shows, at 7 months 2 days of age, he won both the Gazehound and Sighthound puppy Specialty Sweepstakes and also went Best Puppy in the Sighthound Specialty Show. He received many favourable comments from other Breeders and Judges. I can't wait to see what he does next....

At 7 1/2 months, Patches went on a great adventure. He went with my friend and professional handler, Cynthia Seeling to the 9 day Vancouver Island circuit. In the nine days little Patches showed his heart out to attain 7 Best Puppy In Groups, 1 Group One, 1 Group Two and 1 Group Three. He is now ranked the Number 3 Basenji in Canada. Patches is still receiving rave reviews from spectators and observing Judges, including renowned Breeder Judge Mrs. Margaret Robertson.

What will he do next???? Hopefully he can continue to follow in his father's and HIS grandmother Gizelle's paw prints.
